Day 1: Kampala-Queen Elizabeth Park

Our tour representative and guide will meet you at your hotel in Kampala and drive early morning towards the west from Kampala . Proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park following the mystical Rwenzori Mountain range for much of the journey. A game drive en route may reward you with views of Lions, Elephants, Leopards, Buffaloes, Hyenas and a variety of Antelope species. You will reach on time for lunch after which you will enjoy the unique evening 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which joins Lake Edward to Lake George. This launch cruise passes through possibly the highest concentration of Hippos and many animals may be seen drinking at the water’s edge. How awesome! This is an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The inexhaustible bird life is multihued and astonishing with well over 600 resident species. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/Kasenyi Safari Camp/Katara Lodge (high end lodge) or Enganzi Safari Lodge (Mid Lodge) or Simba Safari Lodge/Bush Lodge (Budget Facility) Meal Plan (FB)

Day 2:   Queen Elizabeth -Bwindi

After a cup of coffee, go aboard an early morning game drive along the Kasenyi track or Queens mile in the park in search for early risers as they move back to their hide a ways. Search for Lions, Elephants, Cape buffalo, Warthogs, leopard, hyena, Mangoose, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, Topi and lots many small animals and birds. After the game drive, proceed to Bwindi via Ishasha sector. As you drive along the road via Ishasha sector, animals such as the waterbucks, elephant, antelopes, buffalo, kobs, can be seen along the road not to miss out the famous tree climbing lions if you are lucky. A wander through this, one of Africa’s most prehistoric rainforests, in search for the endangered mountain gorilla ranks among the world’s premier wildlife encounters! Dinner and overnight stay at either Buhoma Lodge/Mahogany Springs (high end lodge) or Sliver back Lodge/The Haven Buhoma (Mid range) or Buhoma community Bandas (Budget facility) Meal plan: Lunch and Dinner
Day 3: Bwindi GORILLA TRACKING

Well equipped with your tracking gear, packed lunch, drinking water; you will assemble at the starting points for briefing from the rangers about gorilla tracking the great escapade and encounter!  The time taken to come across these gentle giants is erratic for it may take3-10 hours. Nevertheless, on encounter, one may be forced to say, it is a worthwhile!!! After the adventure a certificate awaits the successful tracker. The afternoon is spent on a foot safari around the local communities living around the park. Dinner and overnight stay at either Buhoma Lodge/Mahogany Springs (high end lodge) or Sliver back Lodge/The Haven Buhoma (Mid range) or Buhoma community Bandas (Budget facility) Meal plan: Lunch and Dinner

 

 

Day 4: Bwindi -RWANDA Parc National Volcanoes

After breakfast, drive to Kisoro and cross the Rwandan Border to through Ruhengeri to Kinigi’s Parc national  Des Volcano. “In the heart of Central Africa, so high up that you shiver more than you sweat,” wrote the eminent primatologist Dian Fossey, “are great, old volcanoes towering up almost 15,000 feet, and nearly covered with rich, green rainforest – the Virunga”. Located in the far northwest of Rwanda, the Parc des Volcans shields the steep slopes of this wonderful mountain range – home to the rare mountain gorilla – and the rich assortment of montane ecosystems, which cuddle evergreen and bamboo forest, open grassland, swamp and heath.  An exciting trek through the cultivated foothills of the Virunga provides sunning views in all directions. Then, suddenly, the trail crosses the threshold through the national park, submerging trekkers in the inexplicable closeness of the rainforest, alive with the calls of colorful birds and chattering of the rare golden monkey, and littered with fresh spoor of the mountains’ elusive populations of buffalo and elephant. Through gaps in the forest canopy, the magnificent peaks are easily seen, accessible and among the highest in Africa, beckoning an ascent. Dinner and overnight at Virunga Lodge/ Governors Camp (High end), Le’ Bambou Gorilla Lodge (Mid range) or Gisagura guest house (Budget end). Meal plan: B- L-D

 

Day 5: Second GORILLA TRACKING-Rwanda -Kabale

You will be early for briefing by the guide at Ruhengeri Park headquarters in Pac de volcanoes. The tracking begins at 9:00am.The time spent trekking depends on the movement of these wonderful giants. After the trek drive back to Uganda. Dinner and Overnight at Bunyonyi Safari Resort (high end), Birdnest Lodge (mid lodge) or Crater bay cottages (budget lodge) Meal plan Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner


Day 6:   Lake Bunyonyi -Lake Mburo National park

Morning Canoe ride along Lake Bunyonyi thereafter continue to Lake Mburo National Park and enter the Park.   On arrival, visitors also enjoy a boat trip on Lake Mburo and self-guided nature trails. Bird watchers will enjoy more than 250 species of birds found in Lake Mburo including Papyrus Gonoleks, Brown-faced Lapwings, Carruther’s Cisticolas, the extraordinary White winged Warbler and Bare-Faced Go-away bird. Dinner and overnight at Mihingo Safari Lodge (high end), Lake Mburo Safari Lodge (Mid end) or Eagles Nest Lake Mburo (budget end) Meal plan Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 7:  Lake Mburo- Kampala/Entebbe

Morning bush walk and boat ride before heading to Kampala with a stopover at Igongo cultural centre in Biharwe Mbarara. There will also be time to stop at the equator for photographs and you will arrive in Kampala or Entebbe airport for your flight. End of service
