It’s situated only 15 minutes from the top of magnificent Murchison Falls. It’s the perfect location for those who want to experience the tranquility of unspoiled Africa untouched by mass tourism.

Sambiya River Lodge’s unique charm is in the atmosphere of intimacy provided to the guests.

Guests stay in any of the 26 double rooms designed as individual and family thatched cottages which have en suite bathrooms, fans, screened doors & windows, mosquito nets, and a veranda to relax and enjoy the commanding views of quintessential Africa. Twelve basic bandas are also available for guest accommodation.

Red Chilli is superbly located to explore Murchison. We are at Paraa on the southern bank of the River Nile in the heart of the park. Our camp is just 500 metres from the Paraa ferry, where all vehicles cross the Nile for game drives around the Nile Delta, and from where boats can be hired for game viewing and sport fishing on the Nile – either up to the base of the Falls, or down to the Nile delta at Lake Albert.

We have a fully stocked bar and restaurant below a large open thatched roof with spectacular views towards the Nile. The bar serves drinks from 6.15am until.

Deriving its name from the historic English explorer Samuel Baker, Baker’s Lodge is situated on the South bank of the mighty Nile River which transects Murchison Falls National Park. This intimate, safari styled lodge is set within a large private area with direct river access, large shady trees and wetland areas hosting abundant birdlife along the water’s edge. The views onto the river are vast and magnificent with islands hosting nesting egret birds, elephants bathing and pods of hippos regularly viewed.

Inspired by the breath-taking splendor of the wild landscapes of Murchison Falls NPK and the history and culture of the Bunyoro region of Uganda, Kabalega Wilderness Lodge will amaze you with its allure and its unique location adjacent to one of the biggest natural reserves in Uganda. Murchison River Lodge is located on the southern bank of the River Nile overlooking Murchison Falls National Park, pods of hippos and papyrus islands.

In beautiful surroundings we offer comfortable and relaxing mid-range accommodation to suit all budgets; well appointed en-suite thatched cottages, thatched safari tents each with private facilities and comfortable camping tents already set up around our shaded campsite.  If you would prefer to bring your own tent we have covered areas for self catering in the campsite, including a fire pit and excellent shower and toilet facilities.

Nile safari lodge is well designed with ten spacious rooms, 5 wooden chalets as well as lavishness tents that are well equipped with en-suited washrooms along with air conditioned rooms that are comfortable. Luxury balconies that will give a perfect view of the area.

For those who may wish to stay in Bandas, their food is usually served around the swimming pool and those who stay in Lodge, their meal is always in the dining room.

Overlooking the eastern banks of the Albert Nile, Fort Murchison Lodge is set in the savannah landscapes on northern Uganda on the northern boundaries of the Uganda safari destination of Murchison Falls National Park. Built with a massive tower, Fort Murchison has got impressive colored walls with a Swahili touch that leaves to testify the influence of the Arab traders and great explorers that frequented the African hinterlands for trade and discovering the source of the Nile respectively. The Fort Murchison lodge offers mid-range accommodation with provision for budget travelers on Uganda safaris and tours. The land where the Fort Murchison is located initially belonged to the Aswa Lolim Game Reserve

Accommodation at Fort Murchison lodge is provided in 12 self-contained rooms that are spacious equipped with comfortable beds. The wash rooms features plenty of water both hot and cold where the hot water is heat by solar powered heaters. The rooms at Fort Murchison feature a private balcony and a writing desk. There is also a terrace at the rooftop where a traveler on safari tour in Uganda can relax in the evening taking a sundowner and memorize about the day’s experiences while enjoying the views of the Albert Nile below. The restaurant serves a four course dinner and has got impressive décor inclined towards a Swahili touch as evidenced by a range of drawings and picture decorations.

Fort Murchison also offers accommodation in non-self-contained safari tents which are comfortably furnished with two (2) single beds featuring mosquito nets, power sockets and a bedside table. The tents are covered by grass thatch and there is a communal ablution block with modern and clean flush toilets and bathrooms. The towels and linen are provided. Fort Murchison is 5km drive from the Tangi gate and lies along the Karuma – Pakwach road.


Situated in the heart of Budongo Forest Reserve, part of Murchison Falls National Park, Budongo Eco Lodge provides excellent and pocket friendly accommodation in the midst of one of the largest and most beautiful rainforest locations in Uganda whose incredible biodiversity includes 9 different species of primates, 360 species of birds, over 290 different types of butterflies and some of the oldest trees in Uganda. All within utterly easy access of available forest activities – an exciting jungle experience guaranteed for lasting memories!

Guests accommodation comprises six intimate, and eco, Log-Cabins, each secluded in the forest for maximum privacy and fitted with 2x Double size Beds or 1x King size Bed, a sitting area with a Day Bed; each cabin is also en-suite with hot and cold showers, an ash-based eco-loo and a private veranda overlooking the forest.

The lodge also offers four dormitory rooms each fitted with 2x Bunk Beds for a maximum 4 persons per room with shared, outside bathroom facilities for all. All our beds are fitted with mosquito nets.

Other lodge amenities include a spacious lounge with comfortable chairs, a terrace restaurant and a well-stocked bar, the perfect place for a refreshing drink before or after your forest activities, a small library as well as free Wi-Fi in the public areas.

Heritage Safari Lodge is located 370km from the capital city of Uganda, Kampala, 270km on Kampala – Gulu highway and 100km on the Karuma – Arua road. The lodge is also located on the great North-South elephant corridor that brought the Luo ethnic group, the missionaries and the early explorers in their quest for the source of the Nile and it’s also located at Wang lee, the point where the two feuding Luo legendary brothers, Gipir and Labongo separated to form the two tribes of the present day Alur to the west of the Nile and the Acholi to the east and a third brother Kumarac proceeded south to form the Luo Babito.

The location was carefully selected to be within 5 minutes – drive from Murchison Falls National Park, the largest national park in Uganda that gives ample opportunity for easy access to early morning and afternoon game viewing at the time providing the opportunity to allow for tourists to get back for lunch and have some rest.

The bandas provide uninterrupted view of the Albert Nile and the surrounding green meadow of rolling savannah, where schools of hippopotamus and herds of elephants can be viewed as you enjoy a sundowner. The open plan lounges are ideally suited for drinks, gourmet cuisine, evening interaction and the staging of traditional dance gala.

Pakuba Safari Lodge is located in North West of Uganda on the Eastern Bank of the Albert Nile. Our tastefully furnished rooms offer comfort, style and serenity

Here you can enjoy a variety of excursions and activities; from exhilarating Safari drives to boat trips along the River Nile, ending at the foot of Murchison Falls. For the more adventurous, one can trek up to the top of the falls and marvel at the views through the mist.

Located close to the entrance of the Uganda safari destination of Murchison Falls National Park in the southern section, the Shoebill Campsite overlooks the Nile waters and provides affordable accommodation for travellers on safaris and tours in Uganda. The travellers provide their own tents and they are up to their discretion to arrange self-catering services at the camp. Alternatively, they can access the adjacent Nile Safari lodge restaurant which is approximately two minutes’ walk from the campsite. The guests also have an access to the Nile Sari Lodge swimming pool which has got impressive views of the Nile River.
